For wedding venues

Wedding Vendor Insurance, Collected and Checked

Every wedding brings a new set of vendors — caterer, bar, DJ, florist, photographer, rentals, and the couple's own outside vendors. VenueCOI collects a certificate of insurance from each one, checks it against your rules, and chases whoever's missing. Your first event is free.

Built for the way weddings work

  • The couple's outside vendors: send the couple a link and their vendors upload too.
  • Liquor liability checks for bar service and caterers serving alcohol.
  • Additional insured wording verified — not just the certificate holder box.
  • Reminders at 45, 30, 14 and 7 days so nothing slips to the week of the wedding.
  • Works alongside your wedding venue software and CRM.

It's the same job every wedding: confirm each vendor carries proper coverage before the date. Doing it by hand — collecting PDFs, reading certificates, chasing the stragglers — is what our COI tracking software for venues automates.

Questions, answered

What insurance should wedding vendors have?

Most wedding venues require at least $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate general liability, with the venue named as additional insured. Bar and catering vendors serving alcohol should also carry liquor liability.

What about the couple's outside vendors?

Couples often bring their own DJ, florist or friend-of-the-family bartender. VenueCOI lets you send the couple a link so their vendors upload certificates too — the same checks apply.

Do vendors need an account to upload?

No. Each vendor gets a link and uploads a PDF or phone photo, with instant feedback on anything missing. No login, no app.

Does this work with my wedding venue software?

Yes. VenueCOI handles the insurance side and works alongside tools like Tripleseat, HoneyBook or Perfect Venue.

What if a friend or family member is a vendor?

Mark them as a friend/family vendor. They can usually buy a one-day special-event policy that names your venue as additional insured, and VenueCOI tracks it like any other.

Every wedding vendor insured. Zero chasing.
